Day loop to Lolegaon's canopy walk
From Charkhole, drive 12–15 km to Lolegaon for the canopy walk through its heritage forest and the Kafer viewpoint, then back for a late lunch. An easy half day for your second morning.
Charkhole has no sights of its own beyond the view, so on a two-night stay many guests spend a morning in Lolegaon, 12–15 km away and 45 minutes to an hour by car. The drive runs along forested ridges, with glimpses of the valley and, on clear days, the Kanchenjunga range.
In Lolegaon, walk the canopy bridge of about 180 m through the crowns of old oak and cypress in the heritage forest, then the ground trails beneath. Continue to the Kafer viewpoint, about 1 km from the village centre, for another angle on the mountains. Have tea in the village, and if you are there early, look for birds in the forest.
A car with waiting costs about ₹2,000–2,800 from Charkhole; your homestay will arrange it. Canopy walk entry is a small fee. Go in the morning, before cloud builds and day trippers arrive. The bridge can close for repairs or bad weather, so check current status before you travel.
Cost: Car ₹2,000–2,800 return · small entry fees
