Sandakphu & the Singalila Ridge in November
November is our favourite month: settled, dry, clear and colder, with frost on the huts and the best visibility of the year. Crowds thin after the Puja holidays. Nights at Sandakphu drop below freezing, so carry a proper sleeping bag or ask for extra blankets. It is the best time for the full trek to Phalut and down to Rimbik.
Local tip: Watch sunset from Sandakphu as well as sunrise; the light on Makalu is often better in the evening.
