From Mangan the road climbs gently north-west to Singhik, about 4 km away and roughly 600 m higher. Singhik is known for its view across the Teesta valley to Kanchenjunga and Siniolchu, and the walk up at dawn is the cheapest Kanchenjunga sunrise in North Sikkim.

Leave Mangan about an hour before sunrise with a torch. Walk on the road facing traffic; jeeps are few at that hour but drive fast. At Singhik the viewpoint area looks west. On clear mornings from October to April the peaks turn pink, then gold, then white. Kanchenjunga, at 8,586 m, is the broad massif; Siniolchu, 6,888 m, is the sharp spire.

After sunrise, find tea in Singhik and either walk down or take a taxi, about ₹200–400. If cloud covers the peaks, try again the next morning; two dawns double your chances. Carry a warm layer, as it is cold before sunrise even at this low height.
